Rick has had a long and distinguished international career as both an Executive and Non-Executive Director, across numerous sectors, including Technology, Broadcast Media, Telecoms, and Financial services.
As an Executive Director Rick has held Chief Financial Officer roles at Synamedia, Worldpay, Misys, Inmarsat, and NDS Group.
As a Non-Executive Director Rick previously sat on the Board of Sophos and Chaired the Blujay Solutions Board. His present Non-Executive roles include Deliveroo, Smith and Nephew, Ocorian and Datatec.
The BES Group is delighted that Rick has agreed to join the Board as Chair, and to use his extensive skills and experience to support the organisation in delivering its strategic plans.
The BES Group would also like to announce that Stewart Kay will be stepping down from the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Stewart became Chief Executive Officer of the organisation in 2015, and led the business over the next seven years, growing and developing the business significantly over that period.
It was Stewart’s vision, drive and direction that established the Group as a leading player in the UK and Ireland Testing, Inspection and Certification sector.
Stewart took up the role of Non-Executive Director on the Board in September 2022 to support the business, when he stepped down as the Group Chief Executive Officer.
