With our company values at the forefront of our mind, we recently made the decision to partner with East Cheshire Hospice to fund a much-needed Finance Apprentice. Charlie started with the fantastic organisation late last year as a valuable, extra pair of hands, while also continuing his formal qualifications.
The feedback from both the hospice and Charlie has been wonderful so far and we’re extremely proud to be offering practical support to both, by funding this role.
“I’m very thankful to BES for giving me the opportunity to take up this apprenticeship, as I’ve really enjoyed my time with ECH so far and I thoroughly believe that this was exactly the type of opportunity that I was hoping to find once I left university. I still have a long way to go, but I feel as though this apprenticeship will help me to figure out exactly what I want to do in the future, as well as opening up my options and giving me a great foundation in finance to work on,” said Charlie.
The Apprenticeship Levy was introduced by the UK Government in 2017 to help develop and fund apprenticeship schemes and help ensure employers can continue to provide their teams with a range of training opportunities.
Along with gifting some of our levy, we are focused on the ongoing development of our people across BES Group. Our apprenticeship scheme has been in place for a number of years, and we’re excited about developing this even further throughout 2024 and beyond.
