What are the types of oil analysis qualification?

28 June 2023

We offer three levels of Oil Analysis Qualification: Awareness, Category 1, and Category 2. The level of qualification that is most suitable for you will depend on your interest in the topic, your role within your organisation, and your desired level of knowledge.

There are different levels of Oil Analysis Qualification on offer at the BES Group:

  • Awareness – Lubrication and Oil Analysis
  • Category 1 – Lubricant Analysis
  • Category 2 – Lubricant Analysis

The level of Oil Analysis Qualification that would be most suited to you will very much depend on your interest in the topic and your role within your organisation.

For example, if you work or will be working in a role where you will be expected to organise, or even, complete maintenance tasks, you will benefit from having a recognised qualification where you are taught more in-depth information about procedures and strategies.

If you are wanting to gain more understanding of the principles of Oil and Lubrication Analysis, and don’t work in a maintenance role, an awareness course would be more appropriate.
