The BS5266 is a code of practice for the design, installation, and maintenance of Emergency Lighting systems. It ensures that all systems provide effective illumination so people can evacuate safely in an emergency. The standard covers various types of emergency lighting, testing requirements, performance standards, and documentation or recording practices.
