We recommend that all EV Charge Points are tested annually for visual inspection and electric vehicle infrastructure.
Although this is not currently required under EV legislation, it will ensure that your EV Charge Points are in line with Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s), adhering to BS: 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations Act (1989).
We can take care of your inspections and maintenance, our service includes:

Frequently asked questions
Do you need planning permission to install an EV charger?
Planning permission may vary depending on site location. During our initial site survey, we can find out if you will require any planning permission for EV installation and take care of next steps.
Do I need to purchase my own EV Charge Point, or will you provide this for me?
We can provide an EV Charger for you, even if you require multiple units. Contact us for an initial EV consultation, where we can provide you with more information on electrical vehicle charging and arrange a site visit to help determine exactly what requirements you need.
Does an EV Charge Point installation require three-phase?
Whether your EV Charger Installations need a single phase or three-phase supply depends entirely on the infrastructure, capacity, and needs of the site. For example, if you wanted a rapid charger to be installed, this can only be completed on sites with a three-phase supply. Occasionally, sites that only have a single-phase power outage can only have single phase chargers installed. All of this and more will be discussed during your site survey.
Can I install multiple EV charging points?
We can help you install multiple EV charging points depending on site feasibility. After a helpful initial consultation and site survey with our team, we can help advise you on what would be possible to install, with our accredited expert service.
Can I use existing parking bays for EV Charge Point installation?
Most existing parking bays can be used by our EV Charging Point installers, we can provide a full consultation during a visit to your site if any additional engineering work is required.
Do I need DNO approval for an EV charger?
Typically, DNO approval isn’t required for EV ChargePoint installation, although this is dependent on the infrastructure of your site. During a survey of your site, we can determine whether you would need DNO approval and advise on next steps.
Do business EV chargers require a single or three-phase power supply?
This depends on various factors such as infrastructure, capacity and overall needs of your chosen EV charging installation site. For example, rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers require a three-phase supply. Whereas typically, sites that only have a single-phase power supply can only have single-phase chargers installed. We can inspect your site to find out what power supply you have during a site survey.
