  • Key Benefits of TEGG Services

We use Ultrasound technology, a non-destructive testing (NDT) method, as part of our TEGG service.

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal structures. This service can be used to inspect a wide variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites, to detect any issues or faults like cracks, voids, and other defects in materials. Once we’ve used Ultrasound to find issues or faults in a critical system, we can then advise on, and carry out, remedial works.

Our Thermal Imaging service is our TEGG testing method that, using heat, can create images of internal structures.

Thermal imaging cameras are used to detect differences in surface temperature, which can then be used to identify areas of concern in a piece of machinery, including:

  • Hot spots, which can indicate areas of wear or damage.
  • Cold spots, which can indicate areas of insulation failure.

Our Electrical Repair service encompasses all our corrective works that we can use to fix electrical problems found during TEGG testing.

This can include the replacement of electrical components, the repair of electrical wiring, and the installation of new electrical equipment, or any other issue found within an electrical system.

Milli-volt drop tests are used to measure the voltage drop across a conductor.

The milli-volt drop test is used to identify problems with the electrical resistance of a conductor. It can also be used to identify problems with the connections between conductors.

Mains analysis is one of our TEGG services used to measure the quality of the electrical power that is being supplied to a facility.

Mains analysis can help to identify problems with the voltage, current, and frequency of the power supply, as well as to identify any issues with the harmonics and transients in the power supply. From this, we can then work with customers to decide on a corrective course of action to remedy any of the faults found.

Reliable Power

TEGG technology can maintain reliable power to critical electrical systems during the testing process, which we’re qualified to provide with our Mains Analysis service.

Asset Register

Our TEGG service includes an electrical component data plate Asset Register, which we provide to enable more efficient and accurate electrical repairs.

Save Time and Money

Our overall TEGG service can predict and prevent power outages before they happen, saving you valuable time and money.

Frequently asked questions

Can TEGG technology be integrated with existing building management systems?

Yes, TEGG technology can be integrated with existing building management systems (BMS). This allows for real-time monitoring of electrical systems and can help to identify and prevent problems before they cause a failure.

How often should TEGG inspections and maintenance be performed?

The frequency of TEGG testing and maintenance will depend on the specific electrical system. However, in general, it is recommended to have TEGG inspections performed every 1-2 years. This will help to ensure that the electrical system is operating properly and that any potential problems are identified early.

What kind of electrical systems can TEGG services cover?

TEGG services can cover a wide variety of electrical systems, including: Power distribution systems Motor control systems Lighting systems Fire alarm systems Security systems HVAC systems

How does TEGG technology help in preventing electrical failures and downtime?

TEGG technology helps to prevent electrical failures and downtime by identifying and fixing problems before they cause a failure.

Is TEGG technology suitable for both new and existing electrical systems?

Yes, TEGG technology is suitable for both new and existing electrical systems. However, the effectiveness of TEGG technology may be limited in older electrical systems that have not been properly maintained.
