What is a Visual Inspection?

Visual inspection is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method that uses the naked eye or optical aids to inspect materials and structures for surface and near-surface flaws.

It is the oldest and most basic NDT method, and it is often used as a preliminary NDT method to identify areas of concern that may require further testing. Visual Inspection can be used to detect a variety of flaws, including cracks, pits, corrosion, erosion, abrasions, fatigue cracks, mechanical damage, and wear and tear. It is a quick and easy method to identify flaws.

Visual Inspection is often used in conjunction with other NDT methods to provide a more complete assessment of the condition of a material or structure. At BES Group, we recognise the significance of thorough visual inspections in maintaining the integrity of materials and structures, which is why we offer our comprehensive Visual Inspection services to provide you with a meticulous examination of your assets.

It is a relatively quick and efficient inspection method, making it ideal for larger or more complex structures that other testing methods may not be able to inspect in a timely manner

Non-Destructive

We may utilise Ultrasonic Testing. This is a non-destructive testing method, which means that it can penetrate various thicknesses of materials without causing any damage.
