What is Specialist Q10 Material Sampling and Analysis?

This service can provide you with valuable information about failures and how to improve designs.

Q10 Material Sampling and Analysis is a valuable tool for ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of products and structures. It can also be used to investigate failures and improve designs. If you are concerned about the quality of the materials used in a product or structure, or if you are investigating a failure, Q10 sampling and analysis may be the right solution for you.

Q10 Material Sampling and Analysis is a critical component of material certification. It is a procedure that involves removing fine cuttings, also known as samples, from steel pipes or fittings. These samples are then analysed to establish their chemical composition and material properties by one of our experienced, accredited Metallurgists. During this process, a hardness survey of the parent pipe can also be carried out.

How we'll work with you

The key benefit of Q10 Material Sampling and Analysis is that it can find information that was missed during the original material certification. This is because the samples are taken from the actual material, rather than from the documentation.

At BES Group, we are your trusted advisor for all your material sampling and analysis needs. Our team of industry-experienced and qualified National Grid Q10 certified technicians can perform steel material removal, alongside analysis carried out by an accredited Metallurgist at our certified laboratory.

We can support you throughout the full Material Sampling and Analysis procedure, as well as provide you with comprehensive certification in accordance with the most stringent specification requirements.
