What is MFL Tank Floor Scanning?

We understand the importance of preserving the integrity of your tank floors, ensuring they remain resilient against corrosion. That’s why we provide MFL Tank Floor Scanning, a highly accurate and reliable method for identifying corrosion defects, even concealed by coatings.

MFL Tank Floor Scanning utilises powerful magnets to generate a magnetic field within the tank floor. As the magnetic field encounters corrosion defects, it leaks out of the steel. This leakage is detected by sensors mounted on the MFL scanner.

The scanner is carefully moved over the entire tank floor surface, and the data from the sensors is used to create a detailed color-coded map. This map vividly illustrates the location and severity of any corrosion defects, providing valuable insights into the condition of your tank floor.
