Upon successful completion of this Training Course, you will learn:
- How to set up an analyser for routine data collection.
- How to take accurate measurements.
- Be capable of diagnosing a range of fault conditions.
- Be confident in validating test results per applicable specifications and standards.
This course is based on the ISO 18436-2 certification program for Vibration Analysis Category 2. The course runs over four days with an additional half day for review and an optional MOBIUS or BINDT PCN certification exam.

Vibration Analysis Category 2 course objectives:
- Learn how to choose appropriate Vibration measurement techniques for machinery.
- Learn how to set up instruments for basic resolution of amplitude, frequency, and time.
- The ability to perform basic Vibration analysis of machinery and components such as shafts, bearings, gears, fans, pumps, and motors using spectrum analysis.
- Know how to maintain a database of results and trends.
- Know how to perform single-channel impact tests.
- Be able to classify, interpret, and evaluate test results per applicable specifications and standards.
- The ability to recommend minor corrective actions and understand basic single plane field balancing concepts.
