We have recently received Living Wage Employer accreditation, an important achievement that we are extremely proud of.
Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation said: “We’re delighted that BES Group has joined the movement of over 12,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.
They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Everton Football Club and many more.”
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living and we have been using this as a guide as an employer for some time now.
“Securing this accreditation has helped formalise and reinforce something that has always been important to us. We are committed to doing as much as we can to support our people as a responsible employer and this will continue to be the case as we grow our team,” said Hannah Mather, BES Group HR Director.
In addition to having a positive impact on our growing team, Living Wage accreditation ensures we are only working with responsible suppliers and service providers who also adhere to the same pay standards. As part of this process, we have assessed our existing supply chain and are committed to only working with new suppliers who also operate in the way.
This is positive step forward and is key to helping progress our wider ESG commitments. We’re delighted to have achieved this accreditation and fully support everything it stands for.
