Elevating excellence in statutory inspections

Statutory inspections are inspections that are required by law. At BES Group, we can enhance your operations to ensure they’re in line with the most prestigious industry standards, including:

  • PUWER Inspections: These inspections are required for all work equipment, such as machinery, tools, and appliances, under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
  • LOLER Inspections: All lifting equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts, are required to be inspected under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER).
  • COSHH Inspections: The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulation requires all harmful substances to be inspected in line with these regulations, including chemicals, fumes, and dust.
  • PSSR Inspections: This inspection is required for all pressure systems, such as boilers, air receivers, and pressure vessels, under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR).
  • EICR Inspections: Almost all electrical equipment is required to have EICR tests carried out to ensure their continued safety and to remain compliant with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR).

Pioneering precision in specialist Inspections

At BES Group, our team of expert Technicians can conduct specialist inspections for a wide range of equipment, including:

  • Tanks: Tanks are used to store a variety of liquids, gases, and solids. They play a key role in industries across the UK and beyond, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Tank failure can lead to a whole host of issues, such as environmental damage, financial losses, and even fatalities.
  • Pressure vessels: Pressure vessels are containers that are designed to withstand internal pressure, used in a wide array of industries like power generation, chemical processing, and food and beverage. Pressure vessel failure can be catastrophic and lead to explosions, fires, and other serious accidents.
  • Piping: Piping is used to transport liquids, gases, and solids, and plays a vital role in organisations and industries across the nation, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, and construction. Piping failure can often lead to serious issues like leaks, spills, and explosions.

Full regulatory compliance

Statutory and specialist inspections can help businesses ensure that they are complying with all relevant legislation and regulations, helping to protect the safety of your employees, contractors, and the public. This can also help businesses to avoid fines and penalties while maintaining a good reputation.

Workplace safety

One of the most important benefits of equipment and asset inspections is that they can help to improve workplace safety. By identifying and addressing potential hazards, inspections can help to prevent accidents and injuries.

Increased productivity

Well-maintained equipment and assets are more likely to be reliable and efficient, leading to increased productivity and profitability. At BES Group, our inspectors can help businesses to identify and address any maintenance issues that could lead to equipment or asset failure. We can also provide advice on how to develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs.
