What are the requirements for SLPS?

To be eligible for the SLPS a tanker must be registered in the UK, be used to transport petroleum products and meet the required safety standards for road tankers.
The following safety requirements must be met in order to acquire a Safe Loading Pass:
1. The tanker must be in good condition and free from defects.
2. The tanker’s safety equipment must be in good working order.
3. The tanker’s loading and unloading systems must be safe and secure.
4. The tanker must be properly placarded and marked.
5. The tanker must be operated in a safe and responsible manner.
6. The tanker must have an in date VTT.
7. The tanker must have an in date Periodic / Intermediate inspection.
